Sometime before 1830, Ebenezer was married to Lucy Morse, the youngest daughter of Asaph Morse and Clarissa Dudley.[7]Abner Morse, Memorial of the Morses (Boston: William Veazie, 1850), page 174 (Asaph Morse), HathiTrust, accessed September 13, 2021 In the 1830 U.S. Census, Ebenezer appears in the Town of Westmoreland, Oneida County, New York. In the 1850 U.S. Census, Ebenezer was living in Brunswick, Medina County, Ohio. In the household were his wife Lucy, his son Francis W., and his daughter Mary S. What became of Ebenezer Groesbeck after 1850 is uncertain, but I have been as yet unable to find any record of Ebenezer, Lucy, or their daughter Mary any time after the 1850 U.S. Census.
